The Vehicle Identification Number is a 17-character alphanumeric identifier or a manufacturer's serial number. The VIN can most commonly be found on the left instrumentation/dash plate by the window or on the driver's door or post.
Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep FFVs are designated by the last letter of the 12-character Test Group Name posted on the Vehicle Emissions Control Information label, found under the hood. Look for “Group: XXXXXXX.XXXX” then check to see if the last letter falls within the letter groups listed.

Flexible Fuel Vehicles

The availability of FlexFuel Vehicles continues to improve on a yearly basis. There are currently more than three dozen different models of FFVs available from various auto manufacturers and about seven million FFVs on the road in the United States. Some car owners are unaware that they even own a vehicle that can operate on E85 - a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.

Use the form below to search a database of FFVs, gathered from the most accurate information available from the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition. If your vehicle and engine size is listed, check the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or Test Group Name (for Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep) and verify with what is listed.

Please consult your owner's manual or auto manufacturer for more information.
